Everyone,
I live in Virginia, USA, in a house that was built in 1939. The house has had several additions built on to it.
I was crawling around in the crawlspace under the kitchen (Yes, where the garbage disposal was dumping ground food...Yuck), and I spot a small 4"x5"x6' board. I thought it was solid wood, and went to move it - only to find it is a hollow crate!
Inside are 10-12 hand made arrows, with tips that separate from the arrow and that have lanyards on them, as if they are meant for fishing or something. Each arrow has delicate little designs carved into the shaft, and the arrowheads look like they are hand-made (Metal). There is no sign of a bow or anything that would launch the arrows, but the ends are notched and have (old) feathers on them.
The crate has two labels with text (Some of it is readable), and there is handwriting on the crate itself that I can't make out. No dates anywhere, but it sure looks *very* old. It looks like it would be considered "Antique" for sure. Very cool.
I'll take some pics and post them later today.
Where would you go to search for any history on this stuff?
