Question about Pendulum Sights

Question:
I’ve read that pendulum sights are great for treestand hunting which is what I do 90% of the time. Will my accuracy suffer if I use them on the ground? Don’t want to miss if I decide to still-hunt.— Bob Pektas

Answer:
Yes, it definitely will. Pendulum sights don’t work on level ground. Some companies get around this shortcoming by offering pendulum sights that also have one or more fixed pins. The fixed pins can be set for tree stand shooting distances beyond the maximum effective range of the swinging pendulum (about 30 yards, in most cases) or they can be set for shorter distances for shots at ground level.
